Amber is a woman, fairly butch but she's not here to choose labels she's got blinksharks to fight and/or befriend. Definitely feel like the ideas about gender in founders Wake are really different than ours- like first off for them I think protector roles or like, masculine vs feminine interests are a lot more of class differences than gender. So like to her she doesn't really see why being a fighter changes anything. I don't personally headcanon her as trans but like I don't not, she's just a powerful failure and I love her
Truly Justin showed us that "Taz PCs saved by competent women" did not work inversely. Gender equality win amber Gris is also a dumbass!!!
👻 a headcanon about what scares them
Amber is afraid of blinksharks, but it's not their looks so much as their actions. When they're a threat to her and to her family. I think she's pretty closed off as a person cause she lost her family and others she cared about, to outside forces. She's action oriented and she feels like she failed, so I think her biggest fear is losing control. God and she's lost so much to forces beyond her control... Even her eyes, her daddy's eyes...
I also love that she's afraid of murder mysteries, not so much the dead part (we've seen her w corpses she's like okay yeah idc I know how they're dead cause I killed em.lol) but the unknown WHICH GOES BACK TO- THE IDEA OF NOT KNOWING, NOT BEING IN CONTROL OF THE SITUATION
Nothing about this woman is purely silly. There are too many layers for pure goofs... I miss her
🦾 a disability headcanon
I haven't even thought about this... For ethersea as a whole I definitely headcanon that for many the sallow was genuinely disabling as peoples physiologies changed, and I'd love to explore it someday.
For amber I think maybe she has some trouble adjusting to her new eyes and gets vertigo or migraines.
Aside from that I can also see her and getting her shoulder popped out of its socket before. Nothing she can't handle without a little help.
(One of these days I will find a Taz character to project my diabetes onto but I don't think amber is the one)
