Don't forget about the iconic three scenarios that every OC must go through!:
1. They're obviously the only one who can calm the love interest down. The good old "Stop! This isn't like you!" usually does the trick. If that doesn't work, there's always the option to say "Hey! Hey (Character) it's me! Look. I'm here. It's okay."
2. A talent show/festivities at school, where the OC can show off that they can dance/sing. Of course they not like real people who would be embarassed about putting on a show in front of the school!
3. The dramatic turning point. They have to explore their dark side (don't we all do that during puberty?) but they go to the extreme. Usually goes hand in hand with a drastic style/makeup and hair color change. Surely villains don't wear pastel. When they finally get over their angst, everyone has to forgive them. Of course!
I just felt the need to add these tropes. OCs can be fun, but I remember we did stuff like this when we were 12, so.. 👀 Absolutely no hate to people who do this, but it just makes me feel icky most of the time.
Hope you're having a great day/night! 💜
smh why is this so accurate? lool this is the stuff i would read when i was 12/13 and i’ll be sitting there WAITING for those chapters to update.
OMG AND THE SCHOOL ACTIVITY ONE IS SO TRUUEEE. i remember there was a self insert i read where the reader was singing in front of all her friends and everyone was so shocked like, “omg i think i love her even more 😍 what an angelic voice!” (i always read those fics where it was you x the whole cast of a series)
and idk if its me but is there a trope in those fics written by 12 year olds where the reader suddenly get amnesia or is it just me? 🤨
