I find myself missing you a lot. As a friend, you were one of the best friends that I had. You got me through my days and I always looked forward to seeing you. You knew how to make me laugh and that’s always a blessing. You’ve been through a lot of hard times, and I have too. I’m not proud of all the decisions I made in the past, especially regarding you. But, I am proud to say that I know you. Proud to say that I had the chance to fall in love with you. That’s funny, huh? That I actually fell in love with you. I tell people otherwise, mostly because if I admitted it aloud, my heart might break. I had a chance, but I never took it because I was afraid of losing you entirely.

That’s funny too, huh? Because we never talk anymore now. I still see you from time to time. But there’s a tension in the air whenever you’re around. I cannot tell you if I’m making it up, or if it’s just there. You don’t make eye contact with me, nor do you acknowledge me when I’m in the room. It breaks my heart, but I’m becoming more and more comfortable with cheering you on from afar.  Seeing you grow as a man is definitely a bittersweet experience.
