Finally figured out why reopening sucks dicks.

All the mildly unpleasant things that covid allowed you to conveniently postpone and ignore are now allowed, but literally none of the fun stuff is back yet.

So now it’s just “normal life again, but literally every single enjoyable aspect of it is now banned.”

#you can go to the bank and the dentist!#but you can't use the library #or write in a cafe #or go out for ice cream #or back to the sports class you adore #or browse for summer fruits that require poking to determine ripeness #or swim #or leave your hometown #when it was just a blanket ban on everything that was one thing #but now it just feels like #no fun allowed whatsoever

Man, whenever i get enough money i kinda wanna just go book a room in a hotel five feet away from my house. Yknow, just to know what a hotel is like?? I really wanna experience it someday! Ive only ever apparantly been in one when i was too young to remember it. All i have of that childhood trip to disneyland is all the emotional scars from mum screaming at me, i barely even remember any of the rides let alone the hotel. Man it woupd be so luxurious just to sleep in a middle class person's room!! What if they have really big baths where the heating never goes out?? And WIDE CARPETS and BREAKFAST BUFFETS! Just going to a local hotel could be an entire vacation for me, lol. I need to figure out how much it costs for just like.. One hour in the luxury. GIVE ME A TASTE OF THAT POSH PERSON LIFE!! Let me just stand in a fancy bathroom for 14 minutes!! And maybe take a photo!! DO THEY HAVE THOSE LITTLE TINY COMPLIMENTARY BUTTERS WITH THE TOAST, CAN I FILL MY POCKETS WITH THEM AND RUN fuck all i remember from my childhood is mum screaming at me on a disneyland teacup ride and The Tiny Butters I Never Saw Again. Is there any way you can actually buy those or are they a hotel only thing? And the tiny milks too!!!! Hhhhh miniature brekked faste...
