Davey is on keyboard and vocals for a band called The Strikers, Spot is on guitar and lead vocals for a band called The Brooklyn Boys
the bands are tense since Spot has dated the front man of the Strikers (Jack LMAO) and theyre in similar genres and both very popular!
so it's a shock when both bands end up on a festival roster
Davey and Spot met after a rehearsal?? The Brooklyn Boys were after The Strikers, so Spot n his crew came up to help clear Striker stuff and set up their own, Jack is somewhat confronted by Spot just for fun in playful pettiness and Jack's like "pshhh piss off, Conlon" with a laugh and Spot is all "fine, still petty bout da breakup are we?" blah blah blah Jack n Spot both walk away and Davey ends up going after Spot to just get to know him, and to ask how he comes up with motifs n guitar licks n such ("why do you wanna know, huh? you gonna steal my methods?" "No-! no, heh, I couldn't do that- I just struggle sometimes, being classically trained versus...well, Rock-") Davey ends up staying behind to watch them and is. Awestruck, and a lil hot around the collar when Spot smiles and winks at him from stage with a relationshipy lyric 😌
they sometimes just listen in on rehearsals and text each other notes on what they could do to sound better
Spot loves how sassy yet dry Davey can get when he's tired of bs
Davey loves resting his chin on Spot's head to see what he's doing, wraps his arms around Spot's shoulders
they'll offer to fill in when the other needs a guitar or keyboard cuz their own is down (takes some convincing from Jack, but he eventually sighs and agrees that it'd be better to not cancel shows)
