Alas I cannot but here’s my superstitious method for you.
1: Open your window and bedroom door, get some good strong fresh airflow.
2: Burn incense while you work. This, in combination with the crossbreeze will provide the “air” element of the four-element cleanse
3: In addition to putting things away, dust. Wipe everything down. Clean your mirrors and windows. Everything.
4: Most people do this anyway, but wash all your bedclothes and pajamas so you can go to sleep with a fresh start.
5: Bring in some fresh flowers or plants for your “earth” element. I like to get flowers with a subtle perfume that will linger for a few days. Today I got some lilac cuttings from the yard.
optional: if you’re cleaning your whole house, or a large area, take a broom and sweep from the very back corners of the space, working your way towards the door, to sweep out any whatsits that might be lurking around.
6: Fire & Water blessing. Light a black candle to banish all of the negatives. Take a blessed water of your choosing (Water from a baptismal font, water infused with sage, rosewater, water left in the light of a full moon for three nights, etc) and sprinkle it about the space with a sprig of rosemary.
7: Take the rosemary and place it over your doorframe, breaking off a piece to put over your window as well, to keep anything new from creeping in
8: blow out the black candle and light a new one representing whatever new energy you want to draw in ( Red for courage, pink for love, green for prosperity, yellow for luck, etc etc). If you don’t have the color you want, white can be substituted for anything. Let the candle burn down until it goes out.
and that is my superstitious spring cleaning method
