waterboy, who's got little cuts all over him because of his grandma's cats + strays (all animals) he finds wandering about. whether they like/tolerate water or not, he loves them. so he pets them, or tries, and maybe every now and then goes out and gives them treats and water. it doesn't really hurt him that much and he wants to make sure the strays are fed and whatnot, so...
waterboy, who reads stories to his grandma, both because she likes it and because it helps him practice talking out loud. of course, it's different because he has the words he wants to say infront of him, and it's to his grandma, but he enjoys it either way.
waterboy, who didn't develop his ability to breathe underwater until later in life. still takes a minute for his body to adjust so he doesn't drown. on said topic - waterboy being bullied for his aquatic features, just on top of. well. yk. the normal bullying. he isn't too fond of his features, often just. trying to hide them instead.
