Photo Series: Julia Sinelnikova & JJ Brine’s “Alawite State”

This past January, Eva Mueller shot a photo series in Bushwick featuring Vector Gallery collaborators Julia Sinelnikova and JJ Brine. What follows is their artist statement and images from the previously unpublished “Alawite State.”

“WE DON’T WANT YOU TO LOOK AT US. THAT WON’T ACHIEVE ANYTHING. WE WANT YOU TO BECOME US. WE ARE PROTOTYPES FOR ALL SIMULATED EXISTENCE WITHIN THE TEMPORAL-SPATIAL EMBODIMENT PROGRAM. PICK YOUR PLAYER AND CUSTOMIZE YOUR TEMPLATE AS NEEDED. ENJOY EVERY MOMENT OF YOUR POSTHUMAN EXPERIENCE UNTIL THE FINAL BLOOD MOON OF 2033AD ON THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES.”

Julia Sinelnikova is an interdisciplinary artist who works with holograms, performance, and digital culture. She serves as The Oracle of Vector Gallery, and her light installations have been exhibited internationally.

JJ Brine is Crown Prince of Hell and the Second Beast from Revelations. He is the founder/owner/creator of Vector Gallery, the official art gallery of Satan, which is moving to D.C. this spring.
