April 14th, Tuesday, The Angel Gate: This card is from the Oracle of the Hidden Worlds. As soon as I pulled it, a wind from the window blew into my little office and knocked an old Christmas card (right) on to my desk. The Angel Gate card signifies your guardian angel. Today is a good day to engage in a ritual or contemplative practice to connect with your guardian angel who is there to protect and guide you. Any guided and visual meditation is good. Close your eyes, take a few deep breathes, put your hand over your heart, and imagine yourself being bathed in a pink and white light. Imagine yourself being wrapped in angel's wings. Release any worry, anxiety, and fear. Know that you are protected and loved. Images of salt baths came up. It is probably a good idea to do an angel meditation while soaking in epsom or Himalayan salts. If you can't soak in a tub, then do it in the shower as the water pours over you. I got in image of myself getting in a car, about to start a road trip or drive to a destination filled with dread. May 8th, Wednesday, Inner Peace: I used Denise Linn's Sacred Destiny Oracle cards. Today, do whatever you have to in order to cultivate inner peace and tranquility. Release all worry and anxiety. That never helps us, we focus on what we don't want, and we are not in a good place to make decisions. It is OK to be peaceful. Being peaceful doesn't mean you are not taking action or being lazy. You are healing yourself, and co creating with the Universe. I feel like this is the residual energy from today's Happy Card. Some of you may have already come to terms with something, accepted it, and are at peace with it. You cease to worry or care about it. You let it go. It no longer has power over you. March 29th, Sunday, 10 of Water: I used the Dreams of Gaia tarot deck. I immediately thought of the quote from Lao Tzu from the Tao, "The softest things in the world, overcome the hardest things in the world. Water is the softest thing, yet it can penetrate mountains and earth. This clearly shows the principle of softness overcoming hardness." People usually think of empathy and kindness as being weakness. The opposite is true. There have been scientific studies on this: see the book, The War for Kindness by Jamil Zaki. Today your are being guided to be gentle, serene, and kind in your approach to all things. You may also find that people are acting kind towards you. Maybe people are also doing things to get your attention because they crave kindness and compassion. This may try your patience. Respond with compassion. It's good karma. Maybe you need to be kind with yourself and not so critical. Take time to nurture yourself. There is so much ugliness and fear going on right now. People are getting extra angry, selfish, belligerent, needy, flippant, and distrustful. None of this is going to help the situation. Think about the Law of Attraction. Sunday, March 22nd, Strategy. The Door to Spirit, & the Thinking Woman. Today you are being called to come up with a strategy in regards to how you will deal with the uncertain and scary energy that we are facing. Having a strategy in place will allow you to focus and keep you active. If you are not sure about how you want to approach things, start keeping a journal. I also feel like there are some of you who are being called to write. Do it! After you have come up with a strategy, release it. Do not be overly attached to the outcome, hence the card to "The Door to Spirit." Let the universe do its work. Do not over think things. Sometimes, it is challenging not to let the analytical part of our mind completely take over and lead us down a rabbit hole of skepticism. There does need to be a balance. Meditation helps, as do a lot of creative endeavors. The "Thinking Woman" card tells you to get informed. This doesn't mean being glued to the news every night. What are you interested in learning? Are you able to set aside time for that? Are there new things you want to discover? Thursday, March 19th, Healing the Earth: I recently purchased several decks of oracle cards. This one is called the "Oracle of the Hidden Worlds," by Lucy Cavendish. I always do a short meditation while I shuffle the cards.The card I pulled is "Healing the Earth. We will get through the tumultuous and terrifying time. It's important to pull together and help one another. Open your heart. It's easy to get angry and blame people. There is a lot of that going on at the moment. There is a lot of selfishness and greed going on at the moment. Don't get swept up in it, because if you are afraid it will exacerbate your fear, and make your situation worse. You are doing the best that you can. Be gentle and patient with yourself and others. Try and be as mindful of your thoughts and actions as you can. Choose to be compassionate and helpful. Monday, March 16th: Diligence, Taking Risks, Enlightenment. Sunday's card was the Fox Spirit - being able to think quickly on your feet. I felt that energy would continue throughout the week. For Monday we have Diligence, Taking Risks, and Enlightenment. Once again, your are being called to be mindful, observant, and focused. Take care to be aware if what is going on around you and give your attention to details. Now is not the time to take any risks; however, if you feel you have no choice, be prepared. The last card is enlightenment. Stay informed. Sometimes, when I do 3 card readings, the second card is always the one that speaks to me strongly. Avoid taking risks. You may be in a situation where you don't have a choice, and you will have to think quickly on your feet. For this reason, it is always wise to be calm, focused, and mindful of everything around you. Enlightenment is telling us to get informed, go within, meditate, and listen to your intuition. The energy feels quite constrictive today. "Cabin fever"comes up, and "stir crazy." Manage your own energy and stay grounded. Be thoughtful about how you spend your time and with whom!
