how new the dawn. a stillness that he dare not break , no matter how quiet their whispers may be here in new halls. structures recreated to exact likeness , evidence of hard - work in the aftermath of it all ; how bittersweet the feeling , to walk among it all as it is now. how heavy the heart that holds such sweeping emotion. and yet , here , on throne and oracle at his side there is naught but a calm to settle over in a finality. the stars told their stories and now softly sings epilogue’s final page.
so you saw the sunrise? his friends faces , looking up at him. a helping hand of dearly departed. rain soaking into body as emotion soaked into words. the weight of his own hand fisted over his heart and words repeated , echoing that of his father. with the knowledge of what wait before him then , and the long drifting coming to terms with it all , such dawn that would come would be worth it. and he knew then , before angelgard , that only the stars would welcome him home now.

It’s a strange kindness, brought out of nowhere. He’s lost in thought, probably making another of his scowly thinking faces when the voice breaks his train of thought.
He would’ve normally shoved it off, pushed it away as empty words from a stranger, one who was only pretending to care, if she didn’t sound so... genuine.
He looks over his shoulder at her, and something about the way she looks tells him that no. Somehow, she really means it. Even without knowing who the other is.
He tries to think of a response, something appropriate, but he’s never been good at that.
