if ur an inaho hater get the fuck away from me. he's spent his entire adolescence preparing for war. not only is he autistic but he is the perfect soldier, bred and raised for exactly that purpose. this is why he has such a simple design like so many other anime protags. he's an average guy who happens to have a special interest in killing people with mechs, he is 100% a product of his circumstances. he only ends up being so important to the war by accident and if it wasn't him it would be some other high school kid.

he contrasts perfectly with slaine, who has a huge complex around being unique and different compared to anyone around him. this is mostly a coping mechanism to deal with being a terran living on mars. this is why he does his entire heel turn, and why despite everything the people of vers have put him through he stays on their side and becomes the new leader instead. he would never be satisfied defecting, just like he would never be satisfied being second in command on vers.

this is of course why inaho is the perfect dom for slaine. when he gets sadistic and makes slaine doubt his entire identity and existence mmmm so sexy of him <3

there's one specific fic i read 7ish years ago that got me invested big time in their relationship and i regularly reread it at least once a year.

A thought on A/Z hell, years later

God I can't believe it's been ten years since this series came out.

I can't say that it's happened every year, but fucking hell I got dragged back into this after being reminded of babyboi™️ Slaine's bday and subsequently going through the entire catalogue on AO3, exactly zero people are surprised

This series haunts me like no other and I still haven't been able to bring myself to rewatch it, even after so many years. The appreciation, respect, and love I feel for the creators in this fandom is unmatched; I hope we can continue to share the mosaic of emotions that have been inspired by the characters and stories of this godforsaken series for years to come.
