orb fables again after three months? more likely than you think
kabbu is going to use the new sand ability and leif wants to try it too
Please tell me things about the Orb Fables Leif and Zommoth Situation. Is it exactly like the Fecto Elfilis Situation, or are there differences?
it's basically the same situation of "alien creature gets so tormented by Science that it splits into two creatures" but with the difference being like. Which parts got separated. instead of the fecto situation where the tiny compassionate part got ejected from the rest of the being it's more like the logical thought part and the pure emotion/instinct part got separated. the mind and the heart, if you will
since there's More of leif than there is of elfilin they're also more powerful, keeping some of the dimensional rift abilities (roughly comparable to magolor in star allies) at the cost of having a very limited emotional range. likewise, zommoth's psychic abilities aren't quite as strong as fecto forgo, and their ability to plan and Make Good Decisions is tanked
at the end of the leif's request plotline when zommoth is defeated they kind of fuse back together but in the katfl-true-arena-ending way and not the final-boss-sequence way, so they don't just become the old version of themselves again. most of what leif gets out of this is the closure of remembering what happened to them in the past and the ability to actually feel the catharsis from this
bonus drawing of the weird alien rodent siblings that was drawn while we were thinking about this:
hello and welcome to @cordycepsbian 's blog for bug fables au stuff! you'll see a lot of crossovers and roleswaps going on here
general art tags are "art in situations" and "art by others"
all the au tags (warning that there is A Lot because we have something wrong with us):
day 25: crossover
the triumphant return of orb fables
General Orb Fables Question, and forgive me if it's something you've answered before or don't have much answer for: anything notably different with any bosses? How are Spuder or Watcher or The Beast or anything else altered? Thanks if you answer!
to be completely honest we don't know what most of the bosses are yet lol
we had it in mind that tarantular would be analogous to the nightmare wizard from the anime canon except instead of selling his creatures he just makes them for the sake of making things and lets them roam free in whatever neck of space is equivalent to the wild swamplands. he's not an evil wizard, just ignorant to how much damage his beasts (especially Thee Beast) cause
in related news we decided that kabbu's sword does talk to him like galaxia does since apparently kabbu is just anime meta knight now
Finally, about Orb Fables, got any ideas for who Puffball Stratos's partner would be? On that note, what about Celia and Levi?
celia is a waddle dee like all the other ants and levi is a batamon (those little things in dreamland 3 that look like kirby but not)
not sure what delilah is yet? there are no kirby enemies that remind us of mosquitoes off the top of our head. we're actually reading through a list of kirby enemies as we type this and still not getting anything
Question about Orb Fables, if and when you're willing to answer: so, you've said that Explorers have Warp Stars so they can go to the other planets they need to, if I'm not mistaken. Why, then, would they need the Submarine for "Rubber Prison" if they already have a way of traveling to various areas? Put another way, how would you edit that, if at all? Would they simply need a more powerful ship to get there without risk? And on that note, what would Rubber Prison be like, do you think? Thanks if you answer!
honestly we hadn't thought about the logistics of chapter 6 in a space setting yet and we don't have enough thinking power to work on it now
in our mind it really just goes: travel through another dimension (forsaken lands) -> arrive in halcandra (termite kingdom) -> ??? -> profit
