“Orbital Reef” Space Hotel,
Orbital Reef will be the premier mixed-use space station in low Earth orbit for commerce, research, and tourism.
The development will comprise spacious modules with large Earth-facing windows to let travelers soak in views of our planet.
It will also let travelers experience weightlessness and living and working in space.
Numerous amenities for any length of the visit will be available for travelers, as well as medical care and recreation opportunities.

Once again, American news fucks us over by focusing on their agenda rather than the exciting things going on in science.
Three. Months.
PROJECT ORBITAL REEF HAS BEEN UNDERWAY FOR THREE MONTHS AND IM ONLY NOW HEARING ABOUT IT!!!
This is, quite literally, going to be a public space station in Earth’s orbit. And it’s for use for everyone across the world. Tourists, schools, researchers, companies, EVERYONE can use this thing!!!! That’s cool as hell! This is an astounding leap of science!
Not only that, but there’s been developments on a single man controlled space ship thats basically the prawn suit from Subnautica but in space.
Also apparently Space X has broken a record by launching more rockets last year than we’ve launched since NASA was founded.
There are so many huge things going on in the scientific world, and I really want people to be more excited about it.

New Job
So a couple of weeks ago I posted that I have a new job.
I forgot to mention what it is I'm doing.
I'm helping engineer this!
In partnership with Blue Origin, Sierra Space is building the first commercial space station for research, commerce & life in space.

Orbital Reef, the in-progress private space station headed by Blue Origin and Sierra Space, is coming to the big screen. The companies announced today that the space station will be featured in a forthcoming film, HELIOS, in a deal with production company Centerboro Productions. The film, which will be set in 2030, will be the story of a spaceship dubbed HELIOS and its crew. Orbital Reef will…

NASA announced this week that it is awarding contracts to three private consortia to develop free-flying commercial space stations as replacements options for the aging International Space Station. NASA and its partner space agencies currently estimate the ISS will have to be retired around 2028.
The three stations are Orbital Reef by Blue Origin & Sierra Space Corporation; Starlab by Nanoracks, Voyager Space, & Lockheed Martin; and an unnamed proposal by Northrop Grumman & Dynetics. Each will receive over $100 million to further the development of a commercial ecosystem in low Earth orbit.
NASA is also pursuing a partnership with Axiom Space to add additional modules to the ISS, which could potentially become a free-flying station after the ISS has to be retired. If Roscosmos opts to retain the Russian Orbital Segment (or build their own replacement) and China continues the Tiangong program, we could very well have six operational space stations by the end of the decade.
