So your comment on the sightreading post made me laugh because I also played bass clarinet and while I haven't played that piece, I understand completely.
Man, that piece was the worst... Except not, because you get super awesome solo lines even in a really big orchestra, which is cool, but like, I was playing on a borrowed instrument. And the octave key barely worked. So I had to randomly transpose things down an octave and it sounded super hinky >.<
