47. Any advice for novice gif makers/people who want to start making gifs

I really don’t know where to start but if you google for tutorials: if the tutorial says that you should delete every second frame, don’t! Those tutorials used to be a thing when I started and I know many don’t recommend that anymore but just in case.. because I still see people doing that. Also, timing. I used to forget that until rather recently but after saving your gif always open it again (the .gif not the .psd) and adjust the time for the frames. 0.05 is always recommended. Though I have slowed down gifs before if there aren’t many frames. Aside from that: play around. I still do that because I can’t remember everything well so that can help in finding what I wanna do. And sometimes you find something you like^^

48. How would you describe your giffing style

Play around and find out. Also: layout galore because I’m better at that than blending and colorful stuff.

49. How much would you say you’ve improved since you first started giffing

It’s been like.. 7 or 8 years I think and I improved a lot. Sharpening and coloring got a lot better over the years and especially over the last year I improved a lot since getting back into giffing again after a hiatus. I definitely got better at understanding the different adjustment layers and I also learned blending last year. Never done that before because it wasn’t such a huge thing before my tumblr hiatus I would say.

I’m definitely not shy in that regard lol But that’s also because I have no filter whatsoever. Has gotten me into trouble before. I once messaged someone who reblogged a post of mine (years and years ago) and I can’t recall what it was about exactly but the topic of plastic surgery came up and I told that person that celebrity xyz did have ps because it was obvs. For me that was just a statement in that moment but they took it way too personal lol So yeah.. but whatever. That’s small stuff.

in general I would say I am an ambivert and I have not a lot of problems meeting new people but not everyone can deal with it so it might come across as annoying lol
