want a trophy for it ? is ryuji’s first thought, but he bites back his rudeness for once. he knows shiho’s just being nice, and it doesn’t occur to him that she could very well be genuine. she was always more of ann’s friend than his, but he appreciates the sentiment deep down. he leans back against the wall with a sigh, tilting his head to look at her still.

❝ gotta be real with you ‘usuke, i haven’t decorated a big tree in a while. ❞ he only had small trees that could sit on counters for most of his life, so helping yusuke decorate a bigger tree was a fairly new experience for him. he wasn’t really sure how decorating a tree for christmas could be counted as art or whatever, but he’d question that later. ❝ wanna make popcorn strings ? they might look nice. ❞

          “a snowman?” the EXCITEMENT was showing in his eyes as soon as he heard that word. his childhood wasn’t the best one, and he had to skip a lot of activities and experience simply because he wasn’t like the other kids. he would spend his time painting, inside that old shack, reserved and isolated from the world in certain way. that could explain his INNOCENCE, why he was so eccentric and got over excited over little things like building a snowman. 

           he didn’t need to think twice before his whole body went down to the snow, carefully choosing the snow that he wanted to use to start sculpting a, “splendid snowman”, as he said. yusuke was a perfectionist, and even if he had to do something amateur like a snowman, he wanted it to be perfect. besides, haru was the perfect company for this, her ENERGY only transmitting happiness within his heart as he kept building part of the snowman. haru at the other side giving a form to their creation.

            “this is the first time i do this.” he confessed. a smile appearing from the corner of his lips as his cold gloves took more snow to give form to the snowman’s body. “thank you for inviting me. i’m having a good time.” as formal as ever, but his words being as HONEST as he could. “what hat should we use on him? i’d like you to choose it.” // @orfeis && haru
