Okay so probably smarter people than me have theorized about this before or maybe the answer is in one of Nomura’s many many interviews but like. Sora and Roxas. H. How.
So yknow how the Nobody is the heart-less shell of a strong-hearted person who became a Heartless? And how Sora’s body dissolved into light and promptly re-formed as Roxas in Twilight Town? And how Sora’s heart was kept safe in Kairi and the rest of him was the teeny tiny Shadow? And how he was restored when Kairi protected him in turn?
How could that be possible when, in order for a person to be restored like that, their Nobody and their Heartless both need to be defeated so the heart and body can be reunited? In short, how the fuck could Sora and Roxas exist at the same time???
We didn’t see anything out of the ordinary with him in CoM, aside from all the memory fuckery, but in 2 he gets Anti Form, which is officially the result of the darkness lingering in his heart and has aspects of Nobodies in the way he attacks and moves, but in my heart of hearts - my Kingdom Hearts, if you will - I believe Sora and Roxas could only exist simultaneously because Kairi used Princess of Heart magic to transform his Heartless body into Sora’s body. In other words, she used his Heartless as a replica.
But much like Xion had/has replica powers and attributes (ie. the no face shit), Sora still retains Heartless powers and attributes and THAT is what his Anti and Rage Forms are, thank you for coming to me TEDtalk.
