I just love the crown soooo much. I love the crown's "personality" that it imposes on it's wearer. I love that it's ultimate purpose is to turn the crown bearer into an idolized version of Evergreen as viewed through little dino Gunter's eyes.

We as the Audience can see how much of a POS Evergreen is, but OG Gunther can't because he was raised by the jerk. But even though Gunter wants to be like Evergreen and views him as the Coolest Guy Ever, the first and foremost trait that perceived Evergreen has is to scold Gunter. The Crown has a real "Tough Love" feeling towards whatever sidekick-like figure is in the crown bearer's life. For Simon that was Marcy, and for the Ice King it's Orgalorg(or any stand in penguin, really. All of them are named some derivative of gunter.)

I also love that The Crown also has a feeling that it needs to Save and Protect people, as shown by the Finn from Finn's wish donning the crown and immediately going to freeze everything to protect them with the frost. (Ignoring the fact that in an IRL situation, freezing most animals, save for a few extremely specialized species, will be killed by their cells being ruptured by the expansion of the freezing water molecules. But whatever its cartoon logic with magic logic as well)

Idk, i just really really really like the crown. I've always had a soft spot for parasitic organisms.
