A Decade ago, back in 2014, these Positions would’ve just been a Dream for the Philippine Navy (PN). Now, ten Years later, they are now living the Dream. I imagine these would be among the most sought-after Technical Positions in the PN right now.
The “Torpedoman” is operates and conducts Organizational Level (O-Level) Maintenance of Torpedoes and their Launching Systems and ensures that these are operational for use. They are trained in the Safe Handling, Propulsion, Guidance Systems and Pre-Setting of Data for the Torpedoes.
The "Missileman" tests and operates the Missiles, Decoys and other Associated Equipment and also conducts their O-Level Maintenance. They are trained in the Fire Control Systems, Guidance Subsystems, Aerodynamics, Weapon Damage Effects and Handling of the Missiles/Decoys/Other Equipment
