Keeping Yourself Organized
It’s important to keep all of your things organized so that you can find them when you need them. Put your work for classes into folders and binders so that you don’t get your science homework lost in your history notes. If you don’t get enough work from a class to constitute getting a whole binder for it then get a folder for that class. You can label and color-code your folders and binders to make it easier to sort through everything.
If you still get homework on paper, then get a folder specifically for homework, forms and whatever you might need to bring home or to school. If you need to bring a subject’s binder or folder home, still put the homework in your homework folder. This will allow you to have easy access to your homework and make it easier to see since your homework folder should be relatively empty since it gets emptied every day.
It is also important to keep what you do organized. If your school doesn’t already provide one, get an agenda or planner and record homework in it. Don’t forget to add when each assignment is due. If you want, you can try color coding and use a different color pen or pencil for each subject. After you complete a homework assignment, cross it off in your agenda.
On a calendar, especially one on a device you use often, record important events. If you have any appointments, the due dates for projects or anything else along those lines, put them in your calendar. Create notifications for appointments so that you don’t forget them. Make sure that they are far enough in advance that you have time to get ready and leave for them.
If you aren’t organized them you can lose things and your grades can suffer as a result. It is therefore important to keep organized. It will also help you avoid those minutes of panic as you scramble through your bag looking for your homework.
