they say that seeing is believing. if that’s the case, maybe yulhee doesn’t believe in anything. after all, she hasn’t seen anything with her eyes before. isn’t that the only way?

yulhee knows that not everyone understands how she lives. she knows that not everyone understands that seeing can be a thing done with other parts of your body and your mind, not just with working eyes. she can’t fault them for not being able to comprehend what that means. they’ve never been in her shoes before. they just can’t know. but yulhee knows what she believes in. she’s been around long enough to formulate her own opinions on everything. though she’s never seen a spirit in her life, or anything else paranormal for that matter, she believes that they exist. she’s never seen proof that they don’t.

she feels him when he’s lying beside her. in any other case, someone might be running away or frozen in fear, but she smiles. she’s glad for the company, even if it’s not the type of company that she’s used to. appearances (or lack thereof) mean little to her. it’s what’s inside that truly matters, and junghwan…

“My positivity. No matter the situation, I always try to look at the bright side of it, always trying to find some good in what happens.”

“My most irrational fear is getting on a car. I just-- can’t do it. I’m terrified.”

Beach: If you could be one place right now, where would you be?

“In my old house, with my parents.”

Seashell: What’s a sound that soothes you?

“The sound of the wind chime outside the flower shop. It’s soothing.”

Mist: Do you like fairytales?

“I do like them. They are rather unrealistic, I am aware of them, but it was part of my childhood and it’s sweet and fun to read them.”

Float: What’s the first thing you think when you wake up?

“I think about everything I have to do that day. My to-do list is in my brain and I start the day with chores I have to get to, like preparing my grandmother’s lunch.”

Sun: What would the person nearest to you right now say about you?

“They’d say I look happy all the time. Which is true-- I smile a lot, almost all the time. So, even if someone didn’t know me well, they’d say that about me.”

Campfire: What’s your favourite childhood memory?

“Waking up with the scent of paint and the sound of my father’s typewriter. There would be fresh bread and butter on the table, milk and green tea, pancakes and cereal; and my mother would be painting and my dad would be writing and they’d look at me and smile, saying ‘good morning’ and then look at each other and smile, like they were realizing that their life was exactly what they always wanted. Every morning. It was my favorite part of the day.”

she wasn’t even used to driving cars, so why had she decided to accept taking the shop’s mini van and delivering the flowers to a part of town she wasn’t even familiar with? seunghee had thought to herself what could possibly happen if she would end up getting lost or if something bad would happen– and that is exactly when her bad luck strikes and the car brakes down about a mile from her destination.

it was hopeless to even try and check what was wrong with the car; she was hopeless when it came to knowledge in mechanics or even some electronic devices. rather, she’d lose herself in paintings, books, and other forms of satisfaction and distraction to the mind. science and mechanics weren’t her forte, though she had a rather peculiar love for astronomy.

she felt a presence though. the more she felt it, the harder it was to ignore, the more she looked around as if from one moment to the other someone could suddenly appear and explain why she felt like she was being watched.

she wasn’t going crazy– she really wasn’t. and the more she believed so, the easier it was to spot the outlines of a body, a shadow. strangely enough, the presence gave off a kind vibe and the feeling of not being alone was comforting.

                   《※》     HE’S TRUDGING ALONG aimlessly, uncertain of where he’s supposed to go or which direction he was supposed to turn. For a moment, Sangcheol halts all movement in his legs and remains steadfast to the soil beneath him. Perhaps he had taken the wrong turn. Instead of going right he should have gone left. Or was it go straight down the pathway still ? Thick brows knit as both palms rest on either side of his hips━ deep pools of brown narrow, squinting at nothing in particular. Good news was, he knew how to get back to where he started, but he didn’t want to turn back until he found the place. Apparently an amazing view of where the city and the water meets. Or so he’s told. It was just like Sangcheol, though, to go chasing after someone’s words for a great view. While he’s busying himself with his own thoughts, that same presence he felt earlier while he was moving through brushes of green and pebbles of grey is detected again. Slick pink muscle slips out to trail over the lower pink tier with questions of whether or not to interact with said presence. It didn’t feel bad though, or it didn’t give off a bad vibe. If it were a malicious entity: one, it would have done something already or two, he wouldn’t have continued on this trek. So he decides to acknowledge it’s existence━

It was rare, to have any being follow him around like this. It was also rare that he would have an opportunity to interact with one. So why not take the chance to try to communicate with it. And basing off of the outline, said being had previously been a person ( hopefully ) .❝ Don’t worry, I’m just curious is all. Thank     you for accompanying me, though. ❞ He adds on, hands now shoved into the pockets of his ripped denims, head at an angle━ the smile growing even more brilliantly than previous.

You run into a new person that you haven't talked to very much before. What do you do?

In all honesty, Leon would probably ignore the shit out the person. He’s not the friendly type, he’d be the type to take one glance at them, then look away quickly once they see him, then he continue on to his way to whatever he was doing beforehand. If they choose to interact with him he still would find away to ignore them or if it’s forced interaction, he’d talk– but not much; small talk is not his thing, makes the poor boy uncomfortable.

Do they? Yes, partially.  Leon thinks there’s more evil than there is good, and you know why that is? Politics, the government, just people in general. No one is really “good.”

Junghwan felt winded– not by following the human that attempted to deter the poltergeist from pursuit, but the amount of energy brought forth to hold an object within his grasp; to concentrate both on the lost item and keeping the other in eyesight was more difficult than imagined. There’s some strain dealt with returning the abandoned phone, accidentally left charging at a cafe.

The ghost amused himself with the device for some time, until a customer noticed it levitating without reason. With the unwanted attention came a shriek, prompting the spirit to abandon the coffeehouse with the device in tote. A chorus of startled yelling forced Junghwan away from the scene, while having difficulty keeping the phone in his possession. What makes the pursuit futile was his lack of confirmation, unsure if the man in question lost his phone; Junghwan made his assumption when the stranger searched his pockets amid the chaos outside the building, unable to find what he was looking for. In the same breath, he was concerned about the spontaneous change in atmosphere albeit unable to detect Junghwan’s presence.

At least, until he turned a corner away from the crowded sidewalk to reassure himself. Junghwan followed– the cellular device hovered low, arms at at his sides. The spirit glances at the phone before erected his arm, extending it towards the other. He winces with the exerted effort; it was heavier than expected.

      🎧 – Things were definitely out of the ordinary as the student stared at a floating phone in his vision... His phone. Nothing made sense after hearing a soft whisper and while he tried to gather all reasoning, everything was crossed off the list in his mind. No one was nearby to project the voice that was clear to him to be made up. Thoughts were generated inside his mind and not an external sound. This voice was certainly external.

     He concluded it to one solution and that was-- A dream. Between the realism and surreal moment of living, it was the only thing that could be the answer to all the confusion or what he hoped to be the answer. Even though he tried to believe the last assumption, it still wasn’t satisfying. After some time, he reached for his phone and surprisingly, he was able to retrieve it with ease. “Thanks, but... Who are you?” He questioned the transparent figure in front of him while the only things in sight were gravel and leaves. He must be going crazy. Something was put in that tea he just drank... But that was just another diversion to the real truth, wasn’t it?

     Another attempt to get a better answer was driven out of the male, hoping for some reasonable explanation for all of these things, “What are you?” There was no threat confined in his tone of voice but merely curiosity of trying to know who was there... If there was anyone... But he heard a voice so it had to be someone. A phone doesn’t simply just fly towards the owner...                                      Someone was definitely in front of him.
