Title: Turkish Delights!
FINALLY! IT’S DONE! I've been planing this the moment i learned about the @pastriesandsweetszine !! I wasn’t chosen as an artist but i held onto the idea!
Since Turkish Delights seems to have originated in the Arabian World i decided to give my Gijinka an “Arabian Nights” feel. Her outfit is based off of professional belly dancer costumes with a bit of inspiration from a certain Disney princess ^^;
The colors of her clothing are all based on the traditional and common flavors of this yummy sweet! Rose flavor, or Rosewater, is the most common and traditional of the flavors, so it is the most prominent color and the reason for all the roses on her. Lemon is the next most common flavor and is the 2nd major color. lastly is mint green to tie everything together.
The ovals on her vial represent pistachios, the diamonds on her body signifies the Sweet itself, and the lace represents its popularity in Europe. The string of pearls and white dusting on her clothing is reminiscent of the stupid amounts of powdered sugar that coats the Sweets.
the hearts in her eyes... are there because Turkish delights are my favorite sweets EVER... ^^; and also red roses represent love! :D
