Sorry if this is a long question/something you can't reveal yet, I just love origin and your concept of circles (One of my favorite horror concepts and all of fiction by the way) and I want to know more! Even more sorry if you answered this already and I didn't see it.

Can characters not exist in one circle, despite the fact they existed in another? Does Ani from creepy frozen pasta only exist if the necromancer is a thing? Is Scarecrow girl only possible to exist in a circle that is a monster of the week story? Can Killing Kate only become a proxy character in circle where everything lines up like it does in I eat pasta for breakfast?

These are just examples, but are there just certain characters that can exist in one timeline with the way things lineup, but will just not happen in other circles because of extenuating factors? Or will a version of these characters exist in every universe?

It entirely depends on The Butterfly Effect! ie; if Character B requires Character A to act in order to enter the Underrealm, and Character A does NOT do that action, Character B doesn't enter the Underrealm. An entire plotline could just Not Happen because they didn't walk down a hallway, or they could come across Mind Blowing Revelations because they chose to look for a particular item.

EVERYTHING in Origin is subject to random disruption due to slight changes. If something happens Every Single Time, that (usually) means a Tall One is directly influencing it.

This is sort in referencing to how there's so many different Creepypasta stories. It sort of canonizes them in Origin: whatever fanfic you've read about the Creepypasta characters running around is a run of the Circle.

There's also a smaller thing they can do that I haven't mentioned that I'm just gonna call "scratching" (get it like a record), which is where they agree to rewind time just a little to undo an action they all deem "unfair". It's basically throwing a flag onto the field and demanding the ref (which I guess is Zalgo lmao) review the play. HOWEVER (and this is important) if an entity of ANY KIND- even humans- have enough supernatural ability, they can "force" a scratch. But you need to be literally one step below a Tall One in terms of power to do so, and I mean "you could fistfight one of them if you wanted" levels of strong.

I wanted to ask about Jacks’ transcendence into Chernabog :3 Does this event represent the permanent end of the Tall One as an independent entity? For example, if the game resets upon their loss after this specific circle, would Chernabog re-emerge as before, or has Jacks fundamentally altered that cycle?

mostly wondering whether his connection to it is permanent, similar to Tim’s relationship with the Operator, where the entity becomes an irreversible part of the host :c If so, is this fusion model consistent across the other vessels of the Tall Ones as well? likd-Do all hosts carry a lasting mark or imprint from that transcendence?

Yes, Jack has broken The Circle of Chernabog! If there was to be another Circle, Jack would remain Chernabog, and his powers would awaken upon his death, whenever that may be. Jack IS Chernabog now.

And I wouldn't say Tim's connection is "permanent". He can be cured or prevented from becoming the vessel, and instead of... well, the plot of Origin, Tim develops The Sickness instead and just Never Dies from it For Some Reason. The Operator is just THAT determined to make it Tim. There's literally a hundred better people that could serve as better vessels, but Tim is the ONLY one he really wants.

Candy Pop and Tim are subject to change, and Khahrahk has killed all his vessels through his possession. And as of right now, you don't know if Zalgo has ever chosen a vessel, let alone who it is. ;3c

Important Proxy OC Lore: If your Proxy's eyes have color, then they have the bioluminescent gene. Depending on how lightly colored their eyes are determines how bright it is.

If a Proxy has an "unusual" eye color- like orange, gold, or red- no they don't! Because ONLY Proxies can see that color. To normal humans, their eyes are shades of brown. However, the more infected you are with The Sickness, the more you actually start to see the color in their eyes.

Do the animals that Masky rescued live in the bestiary now?

If they want to. They're basically what The Crow's crows are- they've got human intelligence, and they're not affected by The Ark's corrosion. They can even "breed", with the hope that they'll populate The Ark with some kind of wildlife. If they still feel compelled to be near people (like I'd assume the dogs would be), they wouldn't go far. Some Proxies may even take them as familiars or companions. Not pets, though- you can't "own" an animal that calls the Ark its home, you both have the same master.

If a proxy was suffering from say long covid before becoming one, would the symptoms of long covid go away?

If they wanted it to!

See, that's the thing about what Slenderman does. He's taking your input when you become a Proxy. Not only does he have a list of certain things he wants to imbue you with, but he's also examining the mental image you have of your "ideal self".

And for a lot of disabled people, their "ideal self" isn't able-bodied, isn't perfectly fit. Their ideal is having their disabilities accommodated, not having to be forced into a certain shape in order to feel worthy. It's who they want to be if nobody told them "you can't do that". Well, Slenderman grew machines into their bodies, gave them a hivemind where they can communicate regardless of ability. He surrounded them with people who want to help them because that's what they do, they help each other, and it's not because they're being pitied.

And not to say he doesn't help them get better mobility- Magpie upgraded from needing a chair to just a cane after he gave her a new spine, and the cane is mostly just for balance and long distances. But that's all she really needs, because she can basically do everything else she wants without any effort at all.

The only body he did serious, drastic change to was Doby, actually, who had his birth sex completely remade to be male. With him The Operator went "Oh fuck I gotta rip up the whole damn carpet. Aight *cracks knuckles* boy time"
