Hey if ya'll like Doechii, you NEED to listen to Fat Nwigwe and her husband Tobe. They are both EXTREMELY talented wordsmiths, and make really, really good music.
Something I like is about them is that they are married and have FIVE children, ALL born from Fat, and they are extremely proud of their family. Fat in particular has spent her entire career redefining motherhood as a power symbol. She isn't small, she isn't just "a baby mama", she's strong and she is a MO-THER, two syllables. I really love that she frames her body that way, and refuses to accept not being revered for it. And Tobe does 10000% percent, he's right by her side about all of it. Check them out!
Me: You shouldn't ask Creepypasta authors to censor themselves for your comfort
Guy Who Gets Off On Dead Women: YEAH WHAT THEY SAID
Me:
The blessed be the wicked creators draw sexualized images of young women getting brutalized, murdered and abused. One of them is also an outright necrophile and incest fetishist.
Oh I am NOT with that lmao, that is NOT what I meant
I don't want to cause issues but I do think it's interesting that blessed be the wicked reblogged your post since I've always thought you guys handle dark themes very differently😭
I don't follow them, so I wouldn't know lmao
Tae Lee sees their peaceful artworks as an offering to those living through uncertain times
"Oh realism in Creepypasta makes me upset, I hate when my favorite character is depicted as racist/sexist/a predator"
I am going to say this. Gently.
If you want to make a kid-friendly story, then by all means. But if your reason is just to avoid the parts about horror you don't like, I'm sorry, but you are probably not emotionally capable enough to be partaking in stories that feature heavy gore, death, and violence.
The idea is borderline quaint to me. A world that is somehow devoid of racism and predatory, violent people, but still has all the violence our racist and pedophilic world has. People die, but it's white people, for reasons Unrelated to their whiteness. And if black people are there (big if) they never encounter a single person that brings up the fact they're black in a negative way. Not even when killing them, also for reasons totally unrelated to their blackness. How innocent.
And it's so. Telling. When you consider the problems Creepypasta has had. It Says A Lot
I don't understand the argument against "birth tourism"
Like Idk why I have to explain to people that they don't go from the hospital to the airport in one day. They do in fact LIVE here for a few years, at least. Because traveling with a baby is fucking impossible. Because its a baby, you see
Oh sorry, you're taking your food back home to eat? Nope, sorry, you have to eat the whole thing here or else you aren't appreciating the restaurant enough, and you'll just be a resturant tourist. Like what are we talking about
Tim being Slender-coded means that he's kinda taken aback to learn the Earth is round. Like he gets it, the science checks out, but he's just like
Guy who lives in a minecraft dimension: .... huh. imagine that
Things Tim, a guy who lives in an alternate dimension, finds strange about ours:
- why so blue
- round????
- hot af. Why
Sometimes I see people be wrong about occult shit and I just kinda let that shit float by. Like, I can properly recognize that this would not be the time or place to have a big Online Argument about a fairly nuanced topic that is difficult to discuss even in the best of circumstances. The more I learn the more I'm okay with people being wrong about stuff. Like, it's very hard to turn sneering combative pedantry into knowledge. Its much more productive to turn casual interest into knowledge.
That Sneering Combative Pedantry just kinda makes me sad, because its not actually about trying to inform anyone. It's about you. You want people to see you as a erudite intellectual with important thoughts, more than you actually want to cultivate the thoughts of others.
It's a common joke that historians aren't allowed to cum unless they're calling someone else a hack fraud. This stems from, you know, spending several years studying something can make you rightfully opinionated on that subject. But the inability to chose battles is --imo-- a mark of emotional immaturity. Save that shit for the booth, where it really matters.
