Lady Phosphor Joins the Battle!

the @kirbyoctournament is back and this time I'm not missing out on my chance to join!

"It seems that, through a strange turn of events, a temporal portal has opened and brought forth an ancient Astral Warrior! The Bane of all Dark Matter, Lady Phosphor has arrived! This Ancient wielder of Galaxia is competitive to a fault, so its no wonder she's joined the competition while she's trapped in the future (for her anyway!).

Thankfully, while she's here, Meta Knight has constructed a translation device so that she can speak to everyone easily"

Name : Lady Phosphor of BrightStar

Personality : Sort of an odd mix of Both Kirby and Meta Knight. She's usually cheerful and optimistic, with a severe love of sweets, but she can turn serious on a dime and take control of a situation easily- she wasn't the High General of the Ancient Astral Armies for nothing!

Loreeee :

An Ancient Warrior from before even the Galactic Novas, Phosphor was the High General of the Astral Armies during the War of Dark Matter. Her Light magic proved invaluable against the Dark Matter, and her presence more often than not turned the tide in any battle.

She was a Ward of the Astral King, and the first person to ever Wield Galaxia. she was incidentally the ONLY person to wield Galaxia, as Galaxia refused all who tried after her death. that is, until Meta Knight came along.

According to the old texts and stories, She died in the final battle against Dark Matter when she sacrificed herself, using her own life energy to fuel a massive blast of Light that took out the leader of the Dark Matter along with almost all the others nearby.

She doesn't know this, obviously, as it has yet to happen to her, and Meta Knight would like to keep it that way. the less they mess with the Timeline, the better.

"Before the War, all of the Dark Matter was usually held at bay by the Halcandrans, as they were one of the only races with extreme amounts of light magic. However, after their mysterious disappearance and the unknown destruction of their world, the forces of dark matter were free to run amok, leading to this war.

Due to Lady Phosphor's, quite frankly, absurd affinity with light magic, none of us have been able to train her to use it properly, and as such, the King decided to reach out to the last remaining Halcandran to see if they would be willing to train her.

Young Phosphor flying above one of the allied planets with Elfilis. this was before the DM attack on Lord Skyvern's nest, so she has her old armor and cape here, and her horns haven't fully grown in yet, though at this point she was an adult- Astral horns just take a while to grow in fully sometimes, depending on the individual.

TBH I do really like Elfilis so I should probably draw them more...

(also yes, Phosphor's eyes do the weird color-mood thing that Meta's do. there is a reason for that, but it'll be in Nightlight once I continue it- which will be after the tournament is over, unless I get impatient LMAO)

(Meta respected her at first but at this point he just wants to fix whatever temporal anomaly brought her here so that he doesn't have to deal with her anymore) (there's more lore to this that makes it even stupider/funnier, but that's in Nightlight, and on hiatus until at least the tourney is over)

Since we got the @kirbyoctournamenttournament going, I figured I'd open up asks for her! (is the tagging ok? I hope its alright sorry...)

(the ancient language behind Phosphor and Baby Galaxia's speech is 1- due to both of them having to use a translation device and 2- obtained from the png of a keyboard on the Lor Starcutter. I had to wing it with a few of the letters since the keyboard was just a repeat of the same few letters, but I think I got it looking alright!)

As you can imagine, temporal portals lead to some... interesting occurances (and in this case, some very confused reapers)

(Luna needs an updated design, so for now all they get is their moth form.) (also yes Phosphor was devastated when she found out that the tournament isn't an actual battle lmao

also more Phosphor things underneath!

starting wiiiiitthhhh MIRROR PHOSPHOR!

she has more bright colors compared to most mirror counterparts, but despite that, her magic is actually the exact opposite of our usual Phosphor! since Mirror DMs are 'Light Matters' instead, it means that Mirror Phosphor is a goddess of Shadows/darkness instead of starlight! so the little star/sun between her horns is instead a black hole.

Mirror Phos is also a lot more full of herself than normal Phos. Her ego is massive, and she usually acts/talks like some cliche anime villain. despite this however, she's still got a heart of gold... somewhat. its somewhere down there, underneath all those layers of narcissism and plotting.

also as another bonus, Grandmas!

Phosphor, being the ward of the ancient Astral King, also got the bonus of getting the Astral Warrior Queens as her grandparents!

The Pink one being Queen Lyra of the Morning Star, one of the most powerful Astral mages around, and fully capable of giving even skilled Lynian Mages a run for their money.

And the blue one being Queen Daze of the Mists, an experienced General and spear-master, not to mention rather knowledgeable with Illusion Magic

(I'll probably play with their designs a bit more later, but we'll see lmao)
