from what i can make out of MTL for the (untranslated chinese) archive trust files for tecno on the en ak wiki (and her voicelines on the cn wiki (but mostly her trust 150 file)), it appears to me to be the case that the entirety of the r6s involvement in the events of lucent arrowhead got retconned out 😔 (details under read-more)

if this is the case for lucent arrowhead's canonicity, aka the events are canon but the r6 operators were notably and conspicuously absent... ngl i would also feel pretty iffy about whether originium dust is canon, given the inciting factor IS the crossover being a thing

kinda sucks tbh, i was really entertained by the idea that the r6 operator stuff is just something happening in the background of everything else going on worldwide

instead of team rainbow doing the whole siege of the galeria, the dossoles slum artist community stormed the galleria themselves at high cost of casualties. with tecno animating a pair of scale-model sized of the big burned puppets, they still got through to the roof and beat the fuck out of mateo. reynell still survived, with his fall poorly cushioned by said scaled-puppets... but never got the verbal beatdown+punch from ela, so he didn't learn any lessons/get to do yaoi shit with milosz at the end. (probably)

tecno even like. fucken wonders 'if there had been more experienced mercenaries, would have things have gone better?' and similarly lampshades the retconning another couple times. they make it REALLY clear that the rainbow six operators really helped out what would've been, or rather canonically is, a nasty and unsatisfying conflict. a damn shame 😔

but like fr though, ubi didn't even let them operators get referenced to exist outside they own event, frrr 😭. not even unnamedly or with any ambiguity, they just straight up are not canon. agony

I'm a massive tactical armour guy, so hell yeah of course i like these designs.

For liskarm, i think the top half is really great, colour pallete is sound. I'm not a fan of the skirt and tights, because liskarm is super practical and by the book and she doesn't seem the type to wear a tight skirt to a battlefield (in a desert too..) and it seems like the heat might make her thighs start chafing lmao

I feel if she had pants and MAYBE knee pads the design would be perfect. she seems more likely to be overprepared than underprepared

i don't know if it's a unintentional result of the art style but liskarm comes off as a little chubbier and i really love that she looks super cute

Franka is actually ...fine except for the heels which i think is a bizzare choice. Normally I'd complain about the shorts and lack of armour but i genuinely feel that 'franka would wear that', she's wild and i love her.

I feel like the design actually ties into the dreadnought class unintentionally, because low def lmao

Makes sense that she'll wear light clothes. I just HC her as abjectly refusing to wear armour because it'll bog her down. maybe she just doesn't like the sensation. seems very franka.

I'd just make her wear boots or something because the heels just seem unnecessary

Also Blitz and Tachanka learning about the world of Terra and its parallels to the real world (Leithanien = Germany not quite that simple, pls see comments and the very good info provided by @draconis4s; Ursus = Russia) through the Rhodes Island operators from those countries was a cool touch (but also kinda sad, ha).

Especially Tachanka learning about all the suffering the people of Ursus had to experience 🥲 the mental image of him drinking vodka and vibing with the Ursus student self-government group members lives rent-free in my head.

I need to talk about OD-8.

Let's start with Levi's mad scientist monologue.

If chemistry worked differently on Terra they would all die as their internal chemical processes stopped functioning properly.

If physics worked differently all matter brought between the worlds would undergo catastrophic changes, most likely resulting in it instantly and violently exploding.

Since neither of these things happened I'm going to assume he's talking about the ability of originium to alter physics and chemistry. Basically he's discovered arts and has used them to do things that would be impossible back in his world.

What things exactly? Isn't what he's done just a slightly more tumorous version of Mephisto's herd? Well, not quite.

At the beginning of the fight against the 'Essence of Evolution' Blitz tells us the thing is radioactive. They specifically point out in OD-ST-1 that originium is not radioactive, so why is this thing?

I think that Levi has used his knowledge of atomic theory (an area of study that I'm not sure anyone on Terra has looked into) to create a creature that can use originium arts to manipulate its internal structure at a subatomic level. If this thing is ripping apart and rearranging its atoms the radiation could be explained as some of the energized particles escaping the arts. This would certainly be a fair reason to say it "far surpasses the limits of biology" and explain why Levi is rambling about altered physics when he's doing bioengineering.

It also means the thing's corpse is probably incredibly radioactive. They may have only got out of there alive because they didn't stick around after setting the bomb. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the contaminants eventually make it into the groundwater though. Oh well, at least Long Spring isn't the only place with a reliable well in the area.
