Sage sighed as she stared at the laundry basket, currently near the point of toppling over. Her entire apartment was a mess. Unpacked boxes and suitcases were scattered everywhere, articles of clothing she had yanked out of the suitcases but decided she wouldn't wear littered the carpeted floor.
Apparently, moving from the other half of the world to Japan was a serious chore.
Sage had underestimated how difficult it would be to move from Vancouver to Ikebukuro. She was usually quick to adapt to her surroundings, but she couldn't even make her way around the apartment complex. It had already been almost an entire month, Sage's clothes were starting to become limited. She had been to awkward, and possibly a bit too prideful, to ask for directions to the laundry room, but her situation was desperate.
Deciding it was about time she gave finding the laundry room another try, Sage picked up the basket without much struggle, despite its weight. Years upon years of playing hockey really did have it's perks. Sighing, she nudged her door open and and slipped out, closing it back with her foot. It was then when she noticed how much of her vision was blocked to the pile of clothing.
"Damn..." Sage muttered, maneuvering her way down the hall. She was listening carefully for footsteps, not wanting to cause any sort of commotion. However she was so focused on avoiding people she missed the calm, cool strides from a being heading right to her. Without warning, Sage walked into the stranger, sending her basket of clothes toppling down onto the floor.
"Oh, I'm so sorry-!" She gasped, moving her head to face whoever she had ran into.
