Ghürgh (GURRG) Monstrous mammalian quadruped, Neutral. Its name is apparently an approximation of the noise it makes. These large, armored, shaggy beasts are best avoided when encountered. They lumber through life tearing at rotting corpses and dujii mounds for food. Their tough hides and bony plates make them difficult to hurt, and their long claws cause vicious injury in return. They are known to have a keen sense of smell, and a surly temperament. Varied species in varied sizes of ghürgh are seen in most places across Keta. The animal represented here is the YeBoch-Arim gushan-ji ghürgh. Much larger species are known to exist in the frozen wastes of Perradim and northern SeyDoch.
“With a loud grumbling roar, something the size of a large grav-car, covered in armor and shaggy fur ambles into the clearing, sniffing the wind…”
Disposition: Aggressive, territorial. Hungry.
Habitat/Frequency: Temperate forests, any except desert. Hibernates in the winter (Except for the Perradim Giant White Ghürgh). Uncommon.
Size: 9’ long, 6’6” height at shoulder, 2 tons / SC 2, Reach 7’ (Male represented. Females are slightly smaller)
(I referenced pics of wolverines, badgers, armadillos and sloths for the final look. The basic shape was inspired by a bison.)
