thoughts about illario and colorful birds? not falcons or other fancy "manly" birds you see with the upper classes for falconry and the like. I mean songbirds, parrots, cockatoos, birds like that! or honestly, as I wrote this I realized that maybe Illario had the sort of pets that could be considered "rare" on a nonspecific medieval-historical setting. Maybe corgies like Queen Charlotte (although timeline wise that period was later on? maybe? who knows with dragon age), or rarer animals that could be a "curiosity" and also demonstrate the Dellamorte's wealth and status but are not necessarily good companions, just good ways to show wealth.

i just really like the idea of illario with a songbird... yessss king put that pretty bird in a gilded cage that it can't escape and only knows how to perform!!!!!!!!!!!! do not read into this ever!!!!!!!!!

On my continued quest to catch up, I am now in episode 11, and because I am not normal and your blog is what made me want to actually finish TMA, I am, in fact, going back your tmagp tag chronologically per episode. Which we won’t be touching! What we will be touching is a little offhand detail which admittedly probably won’t mean nothing and has likely been revealed yet but! Beth Eyre as [error]! You mentioned that the name of the statement giver she had voiced was Lucia Wright and I just wanted to point out that the previous Magnus Head before Elias Bouchard (whose relative is now a big part of the show) is James Wright… right? Or did I misremember?

wait hang on so true actually. I've been operating on the assumption that lucia wright and [error] would be completely unrelated but oh that would be such a sly little writing move if they were the same person and lucia was connected to the institute through her brother or something.

I don’t If you like Star Wars but consider: Tears of Themis Star Wars AU in which Marcus is the Second Prince of the Pax System, Luke is a Jedi Shadow, Artem is a Senator for the Galactic Senate, Vyn is a Space Psychiatrist that may or may not be Force Sensitive and Rosa is a Jedi Consular… and instead of researching NXX they may or may not in charge of a secret operation to find the Sith on the Senate. Shenanigans ensue

hello!!!!! unfortunately i have not seen a single Star Wars media ever so i have no idea what any of this means. BUT i can still tell that this is a huge brained idea despite me not understanding whats going on and because of that i wanted to answer it anyway, to show it to the WORLD (and thus possibly to somebody out there who has seen a Star War)

important addition to the illario cat thing: he gets to sit in a medieval swivel chair with the cat (who is black because black is always in fashion or orange because orange is the new black) sitting on his lap as he pets him evilly and slowly turns the chair around as the other talon's complain to lucanis about him, letting them all know that he has been there the entire time and knows who said what. also i think Illario with a colorful venomous snake would be funny because yes that would fit well with Viago too, but Illario is literally the one that kills people by tricking them with his shiny exterior before getting close enough

Illario needs a swivel chair and some pets ASAP

ok ok ummm...

Andrea's favorite food is passion fruit! Which is a little tongue-in-cheek for me given their whole shtick with repression but they do love the flavor <3 Otherwise I think they are just big on Antivan cuisine in general, especially anything with a kick (wish I knew how hot an Antivan pepper is)!

Favorite hidden place... The roof of the ship dockmaster's building in Salle. Perfect view of the Rialto Bay and far enough off the ground that people won't bother you for loitering.

Most hated food? Crow feed. They've had enough of that throughout their life, thank you very little!

Most hated memory. Man. Many such cases. Probably when they got the scar across their face! It was done by one of the Master assassins of House De Riva when they were younger as a punishment for speaking out of turn.

I am actually going to need a bit more detail on the fact that Illario would choose to stay and face his dead in the scenario where he fails a contract. Like, yes, better not be undignified about it, but what would have Caterina have done? What would Lucanis have done? More importantly, what do you think Illario expected Lucanis to have done? Would have Illario expected Lucanis to be the weapon of his execution or, perhaps hope (even if he thinks is foolishly), one of the few dissenting voices?

ough. i dont know if im gonna be real honest. none of these motherfuckers are actually capable of killing one another i think they just all stare at each other for hours

I know deep in my bones that Illario adores luxury but for some reason I don’t know if it’s part of it (not all because luxury it’s nice to indulge in) is about him being taught that he deserves the luxury as a Dellamorte and it should always belong to him. I don’t know if my words make sense but I am sitting here staring at the distance and going “would he pick a fancy feast over a home cooked meal because it’s what it’s expected of him or because he actually prefers fancy food???” No idea! I need your thoughts in the matter

ough... i think the way i've tended to approach this is that there is a genuine appreciation for these things? i think he does appreciate nice clothes and an expensive taste, and i wonder how many of those "remember the last job, you ruined my shirt" comments are taken as a joke by Lucanis rather than Illario actually expressing some distress about it. idk... could be fun to consider that nobody takes him seriously or just writes him off as a rich boy.

on the other hand! i love the idea that there is a secret intimacy that he craves; love is not in the meal but in the sharing of the meal. i think he would be more touched by someone trying to find those little things he enjoys but doesn't express, regardless of whether it's part of his expensive taste or not. idk i can go both ways on this.

Is the magnus protocol in the mid season break? I am currently running to catch up after finishing tma after YEARS and I want to know if I need to avoid spoilers

nope, but it will be after episode 20! which will release on, one sec [counts rows on a calendar] june 13.
