If you recall, Pyatilia had a "familiar"....and this is them. Orphedius is a big underworld protector/smiter/kick your asser from Hadis. They are a Hadixii of the Elysii subspecies (given away by fact they got wings they can manifest) and loves to crack skulls and hang out with Pyatilia.
Their and Pyatilia's bond is so strong, she is able to summon them in their big eight foot tall form permanently so Orphedius is a rare Hadixii in the world of the living wandering about. It is rare for them to be in the familiar form...usually if they get "banished" and have to come back in weaker form for a while.
But finally got a look down for Orph and they are now ready to go smiting!
