Anyway, she is the leader of said regions ranger guild. And desert rangers are built uhhh just a little bit different lmao. Terra is the pinnacle of this. She will wrestle a krokorok with one arm and punch a cipher grunt with the other and then find a way to knock back a beer between hits. Welcome to Grand theft pokemon Arizona kid, hippies gotta have hands around here. She has the energy and soul of a veteran waffle house manager. Orre's wilds are her waffle house. Her big, terrifying, sandy waffle house. She has most definitely caught at least ONE flying chair aimed at one of her subordinates. Nothing phases her.

"Why her lycanroc look like that?" Its meant to be a regional variant. The typing remains the same, but it looks more visually akin to a western coyote than a wolf.

"What is her sand puppy's name?" Avalanche! [Ava for short]. She's a good girl! Give belly rubs. Ava is her primary partner pokemon but she also has a flygon named Storm.

"Why is her hair like that?" She dyed it to look like Avalanche. Yes she loves her dog that much actually.

Her number one hobby is making pottery and working with clay. The majority of the bowls, cups, etc at her base were actually crafted by her, and she will brag to you about it at least once.

Her and Gonzap are mortal enemies and have a multi decade spanning beef. Its serious. Shes glad hes being nicer now but still doesnt trust him further than she could throw him and would still probably fight him if she found him at a bar Shes allied with Michael and Wes, and visits redheaded lad a lot due to her units partnership with his family's research facility. If any of her ranger colleagues from another region are unfamiliar with these two's situation and try to raise a fuss about their use of snag machines, she is the bitch who will stand up and defend her homeboys with a 10 page powerpoint presentation. Yes, she's gotten into at least one fight with somebody about it.

I had this up yesterday and deleted it because I was worried it was too rambly but w/e Here's a list of reasons why I [a registered crackhead] headcanon Maxie as an Orre native [or at least someone who grew up there, even if he wasn't born there], because whatever I guess my brainrot is now on that level

Orre has the MONOPOLY on volcanos. No other region has more than one, to my knowledge. One of these is an active volcano quite literally being used as a battle facility. These bitches LOVE their volcanos over here. Team Magma aesthetic? That's called going back to yo roots

As pointed out by somebody in my tags: Would this man being from a desert not explain his fixation with land and sand and all the dry things. Also, the way he dresses- ALL of his skin is covered. Similarly, Wes and Michael also cover basically all of their skin with the exception of their hands and faces, which is a likely protective measure against the sun and the sand. Old habits die hard?

Orre is a place that is stricken with poverty and hardship [be that from the damage caused by Cipher, and or the challenges brought about by its desolate environment]. While I don't see Maxie as disliking pokemon, or not caring for his own (he does have one that evolves via friendship, after all), I can absolutely see how his personal fixation on making things better for HUMANITY specifically would be borne out of growing up in this kind of place, specifically with a focus on the environment. Barely any of Orre's land is inhabitable and its people suffer for it. Yeah, I can see how that would make somebody want MORE land that is inhabitable, as crazy as that sounds in any other context.

I can also see numel/camerupt being one of the only pokemon that would be able to thrive in this barren desert environment [I mean, its a camel], and thus one of few that would have been available for capture if the individual was willing to look. As an aside, a huge chunk of Orre's imported pokemon are native to Hoenn, which makes me wonder if they are geographically close to one another or have some kind of other connection. [granted, XD/Colo and RSE are both gen 3 and came out around the same time back in the day]

Reason number bullshit: Come on guys he's totally Michael's uncle because I said so and my friends enable me and I think they should go turtleneck shopping together because it would be cute and I promise Im not going to draw them together 35 more times

headcanon that Wes and Michael name some of their pokemon really stupid shit but find a way to shorten their names into nicknames that sound halfway normal Wes at the pokemon center/vet: "Here's my absol" Nurse: -looking at his records- "I see Strike listed as a nickname. What's his full name?" Wes: -doesn't blink or flinch- "Orbital Precision Strike" Meanwhile Michael's numel/camerupt is named some shit like Asteroid Destroyer Deluxe but he goes by Potato because "His middle name is easier for people"
