I read a fanfic awhile back [hardenshipping I think lol?] in which they headcannoned Maxie as being from / having grown up in the Orre region and given my love of the other, smaller red-haired nerd with a turtleneck and vest from the Orre region my brain made this connection in about 0.5 seconds and nobody in my life has known peace since and likely won't for quite some time

The fact that my homie who is working on a Maxie cosplay asked me if I was also cosplaying Maxie when I showed them the wig I picked out for Michael pre-styling really did not help [and also made me laugh]
