Christmas Week College Football Bowl Picks Games 6 - 10
Lets see if week can keep our hot streak going. (4 - 1)
6. Oregon state has a very good passing QB in Mannion who as of late has been very up and down. He has a terrific option at WR in Cooks and plays tough competition in the PAC 10. Conversely Boise has had to rely on 2 QB's this season and the starter has just been sent home from Hawaii for breaking team rules. The back up Hedrick is no Slouch and & Jay Ajayi is a top RB. Oregon State won't be able to stop the running game. Boise St - 3.
7. Bowling Green stopped NIU in their tracks en-route to an undefeated season and a BCS Bowl Bid in the MAC Championships. Pitt has done fairly well .500 in the ACC playing closely with some decent teams. This game comes down to a few INT's by the Pitt QB, BGU RB Travis Greene and a defense to tough for the drifting Panthers. Bowling Green -5.5
8. The aforementioned, now one loss Northern Illinois led by running QB and Heisman finalist Jordan Lynch have had a tremendous season. Utah State has had a better than average season compared to expectations on the back of a top rated Run Defense. Lynch throws a few TD's and over powers UTST. NIU - 1.5
10. Syracuse after a .500 ACC season is a tough team to figure out. They play odd teams and have even odder results. Minnesota has exceeded expectations in the Big 10 and is rallying behind an interim coach who stepped in for a head coach struggling with seizures. Take the Gophers stout running game and their "do it for the coach" mojo. Minn - 4.5
