yoohankim sex positions have to be narratively and thematically significant btw. by that i mean hsy directs, kdj watches, and yjh performs.
Scrolling through Kim Dokja's wiki page
gahdamn
I gotta say reading ORV was such a fun(ny) experience because it was just like. Having a full-course meal sat down in front of me. Going "Hmm I wonder why people like this so much." Started eating. Halfway through the meal I discover that the dish is laced with crack. Kept eating
in hindsight, given THE reveal, that bit of lee jihye being sure she could also be "the person kim dokja loves most" makes sense, because while it's specifically yoo joonghyuk's story he loves the most, kim dokja tells us she was important enough for him to get a little crush on her back when he started reading.
i want to elaborate but i can't explain it well, fuck i just want to hold up orv and point at it aggressively like. you get it! i don't have to explain it. it's not even about the crush specifically, just that jihye was also incredibly important for his survival in a different way than yoo joonghyuk because at that point yoo joonghyuk was more saviour; more adult rushing in to keep you safe whereas lee jihye was kim dokja's age and saving herself WITH yoo joonghyuk's help.
again, you get it. you get the themes. everyone's a mirror of everyone else i love orv i have to die now
you get to the end of orv and go "oh, this was a love letter to kim dokja all along" and then you just have to get on with your day
han sooyoung 1863 (and her specifically) offering eternal sleep to yoo joonghyuk is an act of mercy and.... and, god, it was kindness
