It is a stunning beat at Commonty. Big thanks to Ian Fraser a top ghillie. There are a couple of spots on the beat where the wading is lumpy. Re-detonated a life vest on the garden pool. We started to see fish showing below the Bend in the afternoon which was encouraging. No hook ups, but a hugely enjoyable couple of days, despite the biting North wind, sleet and cold temperatures. It’s a good example of ensuring you have plenty of warm layers. If you come to Fishing in Scottish summertime, the temperature was -1c this morning. 🥶 we were all using the Orvis Clearwater 15 foot double hand spey rods #orvisclearwaterspey which were superb and made light work of a north wind blowing straight into our faces. . . . . . . #riverdee #deeside #royaldeeside #salmonfishing #orvisuk #orvis #orvisclearwater #albagamefishing #salmonflies (at River Dee, Aberdeenshire) https://www.instagram.com/p/CrfY_vgt6Yu/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
