Dont let the internet fool you, you dont really see AE86s around any more in Japan. But we were lucky because Rob from Stacked just had his Trueno at the shop when we stopped by. This car has some awesome history and can be tracked all the way back to a 1998 issue of Option2.
Two days after our visit to Shape we found ourselves waiting at Yao PA, drinking one vending machine coffee after another while chain smoking Seven Starts and hopelessly staring at the empty parking lot. We were so excited for this meet that we arrived way earlier then we should. It turned out this wasnt a bad thing. Once the cars started arriving we could fully enjoy probably the best part about a car meet: watching the cars arrive. And when you see tons of old Skylines and Zs with fully built and bored out L28s rolling into the PA you know youre in for a good time.
We finally got around to go to Japan again after three years. This time we wanted to check out the Kansai area. First spot we went to see was Super Hero. More to come...
