While the entire trip so far was a great experience the real cherry on top was yet about to come. This was the Just My Taste Meeting close to Suzuka. We came across this after hours of digging around all kinds of Japanse blogs two days before our flight. We werent sure what to expect but after a few people recommended it to us we decided to take the risk of driving somewhere for hours without really knowing what to expect and boy were we in for a surprise... more posts to come.
This 70 is owned by the Club President who organized the meet. Besides the unusual front which most of the owners swap for a guadlights version is this wagon interesting also thanks to its 20v made to look like a 2TG, even the ITB air filters are from a horizontal twin carb setup.
Deciding where to go to in Japan this year was immidiately clear after their local 70 Corolla club announced that their annual meet will take place in Osaka. Thanks to the incomming Golden Week was the attendance was fairly weak compared to other years however this was still the largest number of 70s in one place. There are only two in the Czech Republic and one of them is ours.
Radek, one of our companions on our trip is a friend with Ryota, owner of this Meihan prooven S14. He was very kind to us and showed us his car and talked about settings used at Meihan and driving technique. Thank you Ryota!
