i’ve always lived near the sea and it even tho i don’t really go to the beach a lot, for my own stupid reasons, it’s still kinda comforting knowing that the ocean is no more than a few blocks away from me. and then, actually going is like a cleansing or something?????? it’s like i go into the ocean one person and get out another. or even not going in, just sitting there and watching the waves clears my mind and gives me some peace. also, the smell of the ocean is one of my favorites.
