ok, I finished it! some stuff I really liked, some stuff outright irritated me, some things I have kinda mixed feelings about that i am gonna have to rewatch to properly think through. some super quick thoughts for now:

(with a couple of caveats) I really liked Bill Stirling! very competent guy who's really stressed out. I like how he became actually friends with Paddy in the end, it was unexpected and I was very charmed.

I thought it was kinda funny that they clearly wanted to show that Fraser was struggling but this season they wanted to focus more on Reg (probably because Fraser's lowest point will be in France), so their compromise was to just. have several shots of Fraser staring into the void and clearly seeing The Horrors and just. not addressing it lmao
