On my recent trip to Nashville, I succumbed to peer pressure and went in search of tacos. To be fair, I didn’t have a great deal of time, but I managed to wedge in a visit to @oscarstacoshop in downtown #Nashville on Church Street. I ordered one Carnitas Taco and one Carne Asada and took a seat. Looking around the bustling shop, the California roots of the restaurant chain -- 11 in Tennessee and Arizona, were displayed largely on the brightly colored walls. My order came out quickly and I tucked right in. The meats had a punchy fresh flavor and the tortillas had a really good flavor. Just the right chewiness with perhaps a hint of sweetness? The salsas didn’t just add heat, but another level of flavor as well. If I wasn’t going to be eating an early dinner, I would have had two or three more.
