Warming up for today showcase in @funkzonesb/tonight’s NYE show @staxwinebar! Thought I’d also share my thoughts on 2018 via song. I think this one by @arianagrande sums it up. Last year I made some goals when I started doing music. I was hoping by the end of 2018 to just (1) finish a record, and (2) play a consistent amount of shows to supplement my income a little bit. Well, I surprised myself a little bit because: 1. I never expected to get out of Santa Barbara and play all these wonderful places from as far north as Carmel to as far south as DTLA. And THANK YOU EVERYONE for coming to see me play! Even if you just said hi once, or took a business card, knowing that I have an amazing group of people backing me up means the absolute world to me. I can already tell a 2019 is going to be a bigger year because (wait for it)... 2. THE NEW EP IS DONE! My friend Dan Bos is a mixing/mastering wizard, and he’s currently putting the finishing touches on these songs, and let me tell you-they sound super good! It also features the production handiwork of my brother @boytragedy as well as the instrumental mastery of my best friends @barkmarlow @emizukily and @llettow7. Also #OscarThePug is on the cover (thanks @aboybeau 😋)! Y’all will hear more about it in the coming weeks! I’ll try to talk more on my goals for 2019 in an upcoming post. For now at least one of those goals is to audition for a few masters programs in music (hence why the beard is gone 😢).
