Oscoda County, Michigan, just south of Comins, has its own version of The Island of Misfit Toys.

It was a fabulous day for a walk in a remote location between Roscommon and Luzerne, Michigan.

Milkweed pods are seeding, the colors are returning, and the two track passes an old CCC cemetery.  I set up two phones, but I think there was a bad signal.

The Man and I made about 3.5 miles today, including in some rough terrain. The macro photography proved interesting for a winter walk in the middle of nowhere.

Officials confirm wildfires are fully contained in northern Michigan county

Officials said the Mapes Fire is now 100% contained after crews established a secure, cold perimeter around the entire wildfire.
