Best of traditional fashion were on display last Sunday at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi when the People Asante people celebrated their Akwasidaikese festival. The chiefs, queens and people brought out the best of their kente clothes and pure gold ornaments. The celebration also marked the 15th anniversary of King Osei Tutu II AkA King Solomon since he was installed as king of the Asantes. The festival brought out the "Sikadwa Kofi" (golden stool) for the first time in five years.
