I was scrolling through your docs, and now that I have the time to ask and have finally gotten started on my fanfiction derived from “Short King”, I have to ask! What is Grillby’s sexuality? Because this obviously plays heavily into the plot for me, as a man. Writing a Grillby x Female Reader might be a tad awkward. Although it isn’t that I am incapable.
He's pansexual! Basically, he doesn't see a gender, he sees a person and if he likes you, he'll go for it!
And I totally get that! I'm AFAB and fem presenting so writing Chip who is AMAB and masc presenting was a challenge to begin with but I realized, just treat them like a person. There are all kinds of people, men, and women. Some men are feminine, some women are masculine, and people can go either way or sit somewhere in-between!
However, if you ever need an AFAB perspective on anything, I'm here to help!

It does translate through sign language! Ultimately, it's how your soul interacts with the other through words, but it doesn't need to always be verbal. Sign language is how some people speak, and they do it with their souls, and that counts!
Had to put the Grillby x Reader on pause to write pure gut wrenching angst for my darling mafiafell papyrus. Just a oneshot though.
