Story Time

A little over two years ago, I messaged Osric on Facebook. I had met him at the 2014 Supernatural DCcon, and had an idea for a nonprofit and wanted his help. I was in high school and wanted to make an organization to combat mental illness. He basically told me that he wasn’t passionate about it enough to do it, but that I needed to go for it if I was that passionate.

And two years later, my nonprofit has been incorporated. We are moving the program into schools in September. And I never would have gone for it if Osric hadn’t pushed me to.

That’s the thing about @osrictumbles. He gets anyone and everyone to do that thing they say they want to do, but wouldn’t do without that push. He takes this interest in people to see where they go, and the feeling of making him proud is so satisfying.

Happy birthday to one of the most incredible people I’ve ever met. Someone who took an interest in me and pushed me to do something amazing, that I’m proud of. I hope that today he realizes how wonderful he is, and how grateful the people he’s touched are.
