No matter how long I've been on this planet (it is 48 years as of today), there are things that will never not fascinate me. Like the night sky. I took a bit of a break from sky clips because we had so much rain but last night, I set one out, and it's been as beautiful as ever. That wind can stay away for a bit though, it is ruining all my flower timelapses 😛
The weather forecast did not show any (prolonged) frost anymore, so I decided to put the pond back together. Things are still slow and everything looks barren but I am doing it piece by piece. I know people were curious about the pond, so here is what the liner looks like empty and full. There is a pump in a box in the deeper end too, I forgot to take a picture. The box keeps debris away from the pump. I am hoping for some migration action this week!

I also wanted to let you know that I am working on the calendar. I am planning for it to be ready within the next two weeks. Hopefully I will find enough photos, it feels like this past year has been a little less diverse and abundant than previous ones. Or I am more picky.
After a good hearty breakfast, Mr. D chilled on the dill and got ready for some exercize. I am sorry if this feels gross, I am endlessly fascinated 😆 (I didn't ever think about caterpillars pooping!) Afterwards, he measured the drapes in the entire enclosure until he settled for the night at the side of the flower pot. I'm sure he feels pooped but is he ready to poo-pate? Stay tuned.
There were no clouds and no moon last night, so I could get some fun star footage. I also made a trails photo that comes up at the end.
(I don't know why it is so pixilated at the begining, the original file looks fine for me.)
A little update on the donation effort - I am waiting for the money to be paid out to me before I make the donation. I have also decided to make some more stickers and will donate all the sticker proceeds to World Central Kitchen to help them with their mission around the world.
