The bloodborne soundtrack is my JAM and while i want to love the dark souls ½ soundtracks they sure make it difficult to do so

man do I know that feel. Like. the team who composed ds2 & 3 was,, mostly the same guys,, so I’m sitting here wondering WHAT kind of an overhaul! I really wonder if there are some interviews out there about the sound. Bc. maybe it’s just what I listen to, but it doesn’t seem to be a recurring aesthetic among contemporary ~fantasy~ video game theme,, so, like. why.

honestly the dark souls 1 and 2 soundtracks make me so sad, especially after listening to bloodborne and ds3, bc they’re so,,,,,, dischordant, and unmusical, and just. not fun to listen to.
