flame of love (2017) — an acoustic guitar-heavy j-pop release that makes for a textbook romantic ballad with a sad twist of losing your lover. the video was much talked about for featuring a model and the visual effects. taemin combusts in furiously sparking flames and becomes a phoenix. simply amazing.

two kids (2020) — astonishing vocal display, hands down. another sad as hell bop with taemin roaming the streets and suburbs of paris. dancing his heart out, full of regrets and nostalgia. just an allround well-executed broken heart song.

sayonara hitori (2016) — dance spectacle with stunning vocal belts. taemin in a satin gown dancing on a piano, in front of a giant moon, petals raining down, then he’s hanging with samurai in a scorching lava field, nothing left to wish for. breaching into the japanese market with a melancholic atmosphere and lots of animation again.

thirsty (2017) — um. the title says it all. you know what’s coming. taemin putting in the floor work in a red suit. here goes the fisheye lense effect, aand intense vocals. it’s the concert version of the dance so you’re getting a full choreo meal here.

press your number (2016) — another banger with a dramatic action plot, shoulder-revealing dance, and taemin being tied up (you never guessed). another day, another demolished car, we’re channeling road movie vibes here. tw for blood.

drip drop (2016) — just taemin sexily dancing in the scorching desert with black clothes on, actually a winter turtleneck, nothing special to see here at all. the choreography has caused hilarious memes. another performance-only video so you get every move right here.

idea (2020) — another mesmerizing recent song sampling a ‘killing me softly’ tag and bringing on the angelic sweater fashion. idea’s rooftop choreography has been dubbed as almost impossible to cover. how he’s not breaking his every limb is one of k-pop’s biggest mysteries.

+ a personal japanese song favorite: tease (2019) — doesn’t have a music video, but it’s a perfect jam that sticks with you. don’t look up the lyrics unless you have holy water available. taemin being known for his unique dancing style, artistic vision, gorgeous outfits and jewels, arresting silhouette, eye contact, and the ever-popular T-pose, there’s a lot of dazzling live footage to behold. true story, chances are he ripped his pants in most of these because he dances so passionately.

as every other taemin gif tumblr tag will tell you, his most frequent habit is getting possessed on stage. now really, the man’s work ethic is tireless. the resulting performance skill and splendor always turns heads. taemin’s appeal in four words: he draws you in. his soft yet soaring vocals — all sustained during choreographies as bonkers as that — are an absolute treat. enjoy one of the most unique voices and stage presences in the biz.

taemin medley at mama 2020 — beautiful. just beautiful. prince taemin has arrived. they even make him look like he descended from the ceiling with a gigantic cape. this dude saved my 2020. includes an intro, criminal, heaven, and idea. absolute top-notch.

taemin + kai: pretty boy stage — a much-anticipated collab of the best friends ever. lord knows how often they practiced dance over the years together. new takes on masculinity, composed by jonghyun. the impact was huge, kai and taemin are physical performance aces and overall concept vanguards whatever they lay their attention on so this is grade A 2016 kpop history in one video.

everyone around him has a 99% chance to be a shawol, and taemin’s immediate impact up close is always the talk of the town. that’s he’s known for having equal parts fangirls and fanboys both in the fandom and industry itself is the cherry on top. everywhere he rolls up, people go DAMN out loud.

recently, taemin dropped the pick-up line of the century asking taemints about who wants to be kkoong’s co-parent. oh gee. who wouldn’t like being part of the lee family 😄
