Let’s talk OtaBoys:

10 things about Otabek and his boys Ft. Yuri Plisetsky

1. Otabek is the youngest and obvi shortest but invokes fear in each boy with just one look

2. Aybek runs a merch store for Otabek complete with teddy bear plushies, sunglasses, keychains, and other cute or hilarious items. Every single cent of it goes directly to helping Otabek and his skating career. Otabek is aware of the site and in contact via email with Aybek but has no idea it’s actually Aybek

3. Occasionally he will run charity specials on the site at Otabek’s prompting

4. Yuri finds out on accident one day and swears not to tell but only if Aybek gives him a discount on a pair of the sunglasses because they look fucking cool as heck even tho they aren’t of cats

5. Thomas host a giveaway every 3-4 months for fans of Otabek’s that can’t afford anything in the store because he fucking lived that life growing up and understands. Everyone on the squad is so proud and no Otabek does not shed tears over it every now and then No Sir 6. Otabek is 100% the type of person to take time and meet as many fans as humanly possible and never get annoyed or tired because he truely appreciates every single fan and wants them all to know that especially since he’s really private and quiet.

7. Otabek finds about the sunglasses months later and finds it hilarious

8. Yuri goes to visit Otabek one summer and the squad decide to officially initiate him into the group by building a bon fire without mention it to mom first sadly. They just show up like "come on we're going" and Otabek is like "uh where" and they just nod and starting pulling them outside all "Going."

8. Unfortunately yuri and the twins get a little too into burning stuff and the fire gets a little too big and well long story short no nothing was burned down but yes the fire department was called and yes they got in trouble

9. Overall Yuri considers it one of the best nights of his life and 10/10 would recommend (tho maybe next time without the disapproving looks from otamom)

10. Otabek loves his boys so very much and will fight for them he's completely a protective momma bear just try to mess with his boys he'll fuck you up

My headcanon post about Otabek's friends got so popular ugh I'm just so excited over my sweet OtaBoys™ I love seeing people like it and enjoy my thoughts and it's all honestly the best I need to write about them more so like Recently: All I can think about is them finally meeting Yuri and officially welcoming him into the squad like "ay mom Bek thinks you're cool, You're cool" and honestly Otabek can't decide if it's the best day of his life because "hella my friends are friends" or the worst mistake he's ever made because yuri prolly gets along a little too well with Bad Idea central one and two aka the twins and he jsut. He can already feel himself losing years off his life

MORE OF THE OTABAE FRIENDS PLS

Uh??? Yes??? of course anon??? Anything for you??? Where do I even begin with these lovable, but troublesome boys????

I haven’t looked into names so I’m just gonna pick some at random from Google and they may change later

So like first off there’s Thomas and he’s like. Basically the snitch. He’s the one who has mom Otabek on speed dial and immediately caves when something goes wrong. He’s calm tempered like Otabek but is generally the loudest (like mostly volume wise) and NOT afraid to fuck shit up when the situation calls for it. He tries to be the voice of reason while mom is off skating but generally everybody else is like “nah man it’s fine” Super smart boy, but man is he a push over when it comes to the squad. (A loud whiney smart push over)

So next is Roman(twins with Daniyal maybe?) and he’s like Bad Idea ™ central part one. He’s where the ideas first come from. He’s the sweetest boy of the group. Like saves kittens from tree Sweet but he just has like a weird curiosity like “dude how high do you think this firework will go if I shoot it off my roof???” (Spoiler alert they ended up burning down someone’s shed and it took Otabek WEEKS to smooth things over.)

Now of course there’s also Daniyal (Daniel but an alternate spelling) (twins with Roman maybe) and he’s Bad Idea ™ central part two. He’s the reason shit goes down. So like roman will come up with something and daniyal will be like “wE SHOULD FIND OUT” he’s batshit crazy and no one NO ONE but Otabek can control him. And even then he barely listens to Otabek. Daniyal is also the friend that likes to start wrestle mania amongst the group. He thinks there’s nothing more fun than putting your friend in a headlock (Otabek 100% disagrees but somehow still gets dragged into it every time)

So the last like main friend is Aybek and he’s super quiet. He’s doesn’t have much to say and usually only inputs when directly asked. It almost confuses people why he hangs out with them all so much since everything excluding Otabek is pretty loud and rowdy most of the time but he honestly has just as much fun as everyone else and cares deeply for his friends. He just doesn’t really have a lot to say. He’s a more action speaks louder than words kind of guy. He’s loved to get down and dirty and cause trouble and goes along with everything almost too easily. He also loves kids and can be frequently found entertaining the kids at the park and has tons of babysitting gigs.

There’s probably a few other guys that occasionally join the group here and there (including a large number showing up for every livestream ever no matter the time or day) but these are like the main guys who are there for everything and who Otabek is closest with.

ALSO the squad may or may not save up a shit ton of money one time to go see Otabek perform in competition in person without telling him and they work out this whole cheer for him (which promptly scares the ever living shit out of Otabek when he first steps onto the ice and causes Yuri to drop to the floor in t e a r s he’s laughing so hard) and they may or may not make custom shirts that read something really fucking stupid like “The OtaBoys” because these fucks aren’t creative at all but they really wanted to match and look like a unit. Otabek is 10/10 embarrassed (though weirdly touched) and never hears the end of it from Yuri
