Hades was the ancient Greek chthonic god of the underworld, which eventually took his name.
In Greek mythology, Hades was regarded as the oldest son of Cronus and Rhea, although the last son regurgitated by his father. He and his brothers Zeus and Poseidon defeated their father's generation of gods, the Titans, and claimed rulership over the cosmos. Hades received the underworld, Zeus the sky, and Poseidon the sea, with the solid earth—long the province of Gaia—available to all three concurrently. Hades was often portrayed with his three-headed guard dog Cerberus.
The origin of Hades' name is uncertain, but has generally been seen as meaning "The Unseen One" since antiquity. An extensive section of Plato's dialogue Cratylus is devoted to the etymology of the god's name, in which Socrates is arguing for a folk etymology not from "unseen" but from "his knowledge (eidenai) of all noble things". Modern linguists have proposed the Proto-Greek form *Awides("unseen").
* . ✧ ˙ ˖ — we are capable, pressured into valiant things, able to do what others can’t in this foreign land.
Minho has the abilities of Invisibility and elemental transmutation. He doesn’t use the invisibility power as much as his other. Minho used elemental transmutation to change everyday objects into precious stones, such as gold.
* . ✧ ˙ ˖ — as stories told, legends passed, languages spread, we start to forget who were before.
Shin Minho was born to a family that never truly appreciated him. They knew of his powers, from a young age and abused them. Thanks to him, his family never had to want for anything. This also gained him a lot of friends. Well, he wouldn’t call them friends, exactly. They were people who kept him around because of what he could give them. Despite being the guy that many people wanted to have around, many people bullied him. He had always been smaller than the kids his age and he became a very easy target. His bullies were both physically and verbally abusive.
It took Minho years to finally block those people from his life, family included. Drawing had been something that Minho had always loved. Art, in general, was something that was near and dear to his heart. He’d always loved the art of tattooing and wanted to be able to try his hand at it. He put money into a savings account and began an apprenticeship at his favorite tattoo shop. For years, Minho had drawn up many tattoos and hoped to learn how to take his art from paper to skin. It didn’t take long before he was offered a spot in the shop. He worked, part time, until he enrolled into university.
He’d known about Yeoshin his whole life. His parents never attempted to shield him from the town. They just chose not to live there. In a normal town, they were special. In Yeoshin, they were just two parents living off of their child’s powers. When he enrolled into university, he rented out an apartment and bought a Tesla. His first big splurge. His freshman year of college opened his eyes to a lot of things that he’d never thought he’d be able to learn.
Yubin came into his life and from that moment on, he knew that it would never be the same again. They met during orientation and Minho swore that he’d never seen anyone more beautiful. He’d dated, once, before. His ex had been an older man that convinced him to keep their relationship private. He’d never loved Minho and it detoured him from wanting to ever date again. That was until he met Hobi.
Hobi approached him with such confidence and allure and Minho was instantly sucked in by his aura. He was beautiful and smart and everything that Minho wanted to be. The first day that they met, they had sex. Minho had never done anything like that before. He’d never wanted to be the one night stand kind of guy. So, he asked for a friendship. He never realized how much more he’d actually get.
The pair ended up dating and anyone could see that they were in love. The perfect pair, if you will. Minho would have stopped the world, for Hobi, if he could. Love didn’t even begin to describe what was between them. They are soul mates, no matter if they are together or not. Which is why it came as a shock, when Hobi wanted to end things. Minho went along with the break-up, agreeing that they were better as friends. On the inside, he was completely broken. He would never beg for Hobi to stay, if he wasn’t happy as his boyfriend. Having him as his best friend was enough.
During his sophomore year, he left the shop that he’d started working at and opened his own. He’d used the money that he had put into savings and completely fixed up an old store front, in Yeoshin. He named it Cerberus Tattoos. So far, the business has been doing very well. His shop has become very well known and he has even tattooed Kim Youngjae, a popular idol singer.
Ever since his break up, he’s blocked out emotions and has created quite a name for himself, around town. He’s slept with more people than he can remember and he has no plan on stopping for anyone, unless it’s Kang Yubin. He’s holding on to the hope of Hobi telling him that he’d made a mistake and that he wants him back. Until then, he plans on hooking up with whoever he wants as long as they’re willing.
